This client required a partial conversion of an old garage. This was a garage that was used for many years to store unwanted items in the house. The customer wanted to create additional living space from the home and asked us what we could do.
Garages are cold spaces and tend to create cold air movement within a Home, therefore insulation was fitted as part of the garage conversion to minimise heating cost and improve the overall thermal efficiency of the Home The stud wall was placed in front of the wall and tall ceiling of the garage, but with a gap in between the two filled with insulation.
